The watercolor art print shown above was
included in an award folder presented to each and every member of the
Vancouver Shipyard Organization on January 14, 1944. Henry J. Kaiser
congratulated his ship building organization for reaching the goal of
producing nineteen additional Casablanca Class Escort Carriers by January
1, 1944. These nineteen carriers were built in the last three months
of 1943 surpassing the goal of "Eighteen or more by '44".

from Henry J. Kaiser and H. Miller for exceeding the goal "Eighteen or
more by '44".

The pin shown to the
left is a rare example of a "Ships For Victory" pin that was worn by
Kaiser Vancouver Shipyard workers. The pin was presented to workers
"For Achievement in War Production".
